Treat Depression By Changing Food Habits - What Else Nature Can Do To Cure Bad Mood ?

Depression is an imbalance of some chemicals in our brain (you can read more about it at all about depression ). To maintain a normal level of these chemicals (especially serotonin, nor-adrenaline and dopamine ), your brain need an adequate supply of all nutrients; especially glucose as energy and amino-acids are building blocks.

To get more glucose, eat glucose powder directly or do as below

Eat more fruits

  1. Chew more (up to 24 times) before you swallow a mouthful of food. It will help in fast digestion.
  2. Eat less fat
  3. Eat more carbohydrate (wheat, rice, honey, molasses, cane sugar, stevia )
  4. Eat in less amounts but more frequently

To get more amino acids to brain,

Eat proteinaceus food (meat, fish)

  1. Do not mix proteinaceus food with fatty food. That will affect absorption

Special food to beat depression

Omega-3 and omega 6 fats ( Salmon, white fish, range fed turkey, eggs )

  1. Pure clean water (not chlorinated tap water)
  2. Carrot
  3. Parsley
  4. beet
  5. broccoli
  6. kale
  7. cabbage
  8. spinach
  9. tomato
  10. apple
  11. orange
  12. pineapple
  13. cranberry
  14. acerola
  15. cherries
  16. papaya
  17. Soybeans and soya products
  18. Beans, nuts, seeds, dried fruits
  19. Whole grains (brown rice, wild rice, kamut, rye, millet, barley, spelt, quinoa)
  20. Vitamin D ( Sunlight exposure automatically synthesize vitamin D in the body )

Foods To Be Avoid In Depression

  1. White sugar and flour, including all wheat (gluten is linked to depression)
  2. All soda pops and carbonated beverages (deplete us rapidly of nutrients and strength)
  3. Caffeine,
  4. Alcohol,
  5. Nicotine
  6. Foods additives such as MSG,
  7. Dyes
  8. Artificial sweeteners
  9. Processed dairy products
  10. Chlorinated Water
  11. Bad fats such as margarine,
  12. Anything deep fried
  13. Anything microwaved

I find foods that beat depression are way more nutritious and natural. I love how nature has an innate ability to heal us if we only just listen. Thank you so much for this post because people need to understand there is so much hope for us to heal our bodies and mind from just diet alone. Thank you dear friend, nature has solutions, we have to find it. But it does not end there, we have extract the core chemical in that food item that actually cure the disease, and have to produce that chemical in the lab in large scale. Then it is no longer called natural, still it is natural in the absolute sense!
